Description
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has entered the daily life of many people, especially in the form of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications to chatbots, personal data and task management, search engines, and more. AI promises to bring widespread benefits to human life and activities. However, this technology is also raising deep and pressing questions about privacy and data governance, authenticity of information, computer security, the human capability to control AI-assisted decision-making and action. These concerns acutely emerge in connection with AI military applications, including increasingly autonomous weapons systems, AI agents in cyberconflicts, AI information warfare, and AI decision-support in targeting, early warning, situational awareness and strategic decision-making. The 2027 ISODARCO Summer Course will offer students and experts a unique opportunity to meet internationally recognized scholars from different fields and countries, addressing these issues, with a focus on the identification, analysis and reduction of risks for peace and global stability arising from multiple AI warfare applications.
